چکیده
The temporomandibular joint is one of the most intricate human articulations (TMJ). Each made up a mandibular condyle and its associated temporal cavity (glenoid fossa articular eminence). Human morphology can be divided into six types: Type I: Oval; II: Flattened; III: Diamond; IV: Crooked finger; V:Bifid VI: Bird beak. appears in several different age groups individuals many distinct ways. Condyle remodelling to account for developmental variations, malocclusion, trauma, other illnesses diseases are all examples disorders that result from simple variability. Panoramic radiography has been recommended as screening tool TMJ patients, it may useful spot major bone abnormalities condyle. : aim current study observe record variations forms Punjab (North India) using an Orthopantomographs (OPGs), which were crucial patient treatment branches dentistry. This retrospective comprised radiographic evaluation 400 condylar heads after visualising 200 digitalised OPGs taken routine investigation. common shape on right observed was oval (43.5%) followed by Beak (20.5%), Diamond (12.5%), Flattened (12%), finger(6.5%) Bifid (5%). left Oval (51%) (15%), (14%), (9%), finger(8%) (3%). In Males, commonest form least , whereas Females, this determine typical OPG. Six various shapes—Oval, Flattened, beak, Diamond, finger, bifid—have identified study, with being prevalent both sides sexes. condyles.

Image quality enhancement in digital panoramic radiograph
One of the most common positioning errors in panoramic radiography is palatoglossal air space above the apices of the root of maxillary teeth. It causes a radiolucency obscuring the apices of maxillary teeth. In the case of this positioning error, the imaging should be repeated. This causes the patient be exposed to radiation again. To avoid the repetition of exposing harmful X-rays to the pati...

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES This study was conducted to compare the clinical assessment of impacted third molars of mandible with panaromic radiograph (OPG) and intraoral periapical radiograph (IOPA) and to assess the efficacy of IOPA and. Moreover, we corroborated the OPG and IOPA findings of impacted mandiblar third molar root apex to inferior alveolar canal. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 200 pa...

متن کاملA radiographic study of location of mental foramen in a selected Turkish population on panoramic radiograph.
Purpose of this study was to investigate the most common position of the mental foramen in a selected Turkish population. The study sample included three hundred and sixty one panoramic radiographs of selected Turkish population taken in Faculty of Dentistry, University of Gazi. The most common position of the mental foramen was between the first premolar and the second premolar (71.5%). The me...

Objectives. The region between mental foramens is considered as a zone of choice for implants. However, complications may arise due to an extension anterior to the mental foramen that forms the mandible incisive canal [MIC]. Our goal is to evaluate identification of MIC by both panoramic radiograph [PAN] and cone-beam computed tomography [CBCT]. Methods. 150 cases with bilateral MIC were analyz...
